Writing Women into Art History Pencil Set

$8.00

Daliesque… Rockwellian… Caravaggisti…. words that we use in everyday language that describe a certain style. Let’s give women some adjectives to attach to their names and explain their legacies and the work of those they’ve influenced.

Write women into art history with this set of three pencils. One side reads one of three adjectives, KRASNERIST (as in Abstract Expressionist Lee Krasner), KAHLOESQUE (for—who else?—Frida Kahlo), and RINGGOLDIAN, for textile artist and children’s book author Faith Ringgold).

Each order comes with a set of three different pencils. Each pencil is inscribed with one woman artist adjective, while the reverse side says “writing women into art history”.

Pencils are manufactured in Shelbyville, Tennessee by the Musgrave Pencil Company, who have been making American-made pencils since 1916.

*This product can only be shipped to the United States*

Where in the world is Cornelia this week?

She has marched into the UN(!!) and is speaking about Matronage to anyone who will listen.

Who can we count on to march with her?
Have you met our mascot?

Her name is Cornelia, and she’s been around, well, throughout all of art history. You may have seen her before—as the passive nude in paintings from Titian to Manet—but it’s the 21st century! Swipe to
