Join the Matronage Movement

Become part of a community that champions women artists, enriches your journey as an investor and collector, and creates meaningful connections in the art world.

What It Means to Be A Matron of the Arts

Matrons are a bright mosaic, young and old, draped in black, bright yellow, sweat pants, or designer suits. They bring with them a tapestry of life experiences and stories, bound by a shared spark to shape a more equitable art world—breathing life into the legacies of women artists, past and present.

Being a Matron has no association with age or outdated stereotypes; it’s a title of activation and purpose. Just like a Patron, a Matron can be anyone who appreciates art and engages actively with culture.

Anyone is welcome to become a Matron of the Arts—regardless of gender or age—by embracing the role of advocate, supporter, and champion for women artists, joining a movement dedicated to creating a more equitable art world.

You’re Here Because You’re Ready to Create Change, Right?

I didn’t step out of the painting in 1583 just to sit here and watch women get left out of the art conversation again and again. I’m ready to engage. I’m ready to change things. And I want you to join me.
